The Road to Sedona Arizona
Who likes road trips? I sure love them. I've always enjoyed the call of the open road. Just to drive and drive. There is so much to see in the great United States of America. I love traveling to Europe and other places are definitely on my bucket list but road trips across the country are also high on the priority.

Pure Turbos
Modifying your car is always fun and I haven’t had a car that hasn’t been modified in some way. This TT RS is no exception. On some cars I’ve only had a tune, other cars a suspension and wheels, and a couple of cars fully custom. This has become a car which is being modified to a large extent. In February it was time to change the turbo.
DSG Catch Can
I've had my car for over a year and a half. I've enjoyed it at the track for a couple of track days, launching it at drag strips and at half mile events and some spirited street driving. I had never had any issues with the dreaded DSG oil spew from the breather everyone had talked about. In fact I didn't see the need to get an oil catch can.
Shift S3ctor
I love speed! There I said it. The faster I go the faster I want to go. It's an addiction. I love the thrill of it, the exhilaration of full throttle acceleration for a full half a mile. This last weekend was my best speed and my best time in the 1/2 mile. It was more fun to run that quickly than it has been before.
Flashback Friday
As I stated in a recent blog post, its amazing how much horsepower it takes to go faster. I'm not talking about elapsed time here, I'm referring to top speeds. These have been easily demonstrated in my half mile events. I've tried running the half mile stock, with a stage 2 91 octane tune, with stage 2 E85 tune and with a hybrid turbo E85 setup. Let me explain.
Half Mile Racing
Speed is addictive. I've now gone to 3 different Shift S3ctor events and one Omega Motorsport event. These events are all half mile in length and are less formal than a 1/4 mile drag race. I find them more enjoyable to participate in. Each time I've gone, my car has had different modifications and has performed better and gotten faster.
Notre Dame de Paris
Traveling is one of the best ways in life to learn about others and discover some of the best things about yourself in the process. It's not just about seeing the fantastic museums, classic monuments and famous works of architecture, although those are part of the experience. It's deeper than that.
No Fly Zone
Life is all about adventures. That can take many forms, travel being one of them. In this case I got to experience three different adventures at once, racing with friends, travel and some photography. Just trying to pack it all in made for a great little trip of a few days.

I use a variety of tools in the gym that the gym doesn't provide. These are personal items and need to be what you as an individual wants to use. For example you might like a particular type of knee brace or need something for your elbow. I like to use lifting straps as one of my aids in lifting. I've used a variety of types and will discuss them below.
Cars and Croissants
Audi Ontario had their inaugural Cars and Croissants yesterday. Some of the local San Diego Audi Club made the trip to the Inland Empire to enjoy fun times with cars and socialize with some great fellow car people. There were some fast cars there including a couple of race cars. Both of the race cars were Audi R8's, one in the GT3 class and one in the GT4 class. There were plenty of other R8's some of the new RS5's, both the 4 door and the 2 door versions, a new Q8 and an SQ5. These were all the cars for sale. In addition there were some older Ferrari's, a beautiful Dodge Viper and a McLaren 720s. Good times with my fellow car enthusiasts and friends. Thank you to Audi Ontario and Phil Braun for inviting us all up there to participate. Here are some of pictures of the event.
