The Brita Water Pitcher Overview
Water is one of the most important things we put into our bodies.  You can live a long time without food but not very long at all without water. I drink over a gallon of water each and every day.  I don’t like the taste of tap water but don’t like buying bottled water.  A fantastic alternative is the Brita Water Pitcher.  This water pitcher can hold up to 10 cups of water filtered and ready for use.  You can keep it in the refrigerator to keep it chilled or leave it on the counter if you only want to have room temperature water.  Let me feature some of the benefits of having a Brita filter.
Good Tasting Water For Cheap

The Brita Water Filter is a great way to get good tasting water without buying expensive bottled water. Bottled water in the store and even in bulk packaging can become very expensive. A Brita Water Pitcher costs $27.91 and includes a filter which is good for 40 gallons. This will pay for itself in the first month! In addition the replacement filters are just as easy to purchase from Amazon and cost at the time of this writing $25.99 for six. That is an amazing deal. Those will last you for a period of months and filter a lot of water for a great price.

The Brita Filter removes some of the contaminants found in regular tap water. It will remove some of the heavy metals as well as the taste of the chlorine. It won’t remove as much as an in-home filter however it does remove some of them and the taste is much better than tap water.

In addition it is good for the environment. By using a Brita Water Pitcher you don’t need to buy bottled water reducing the amount of plastic to be produced and recycled. Studies have shown that up to 44% of bottled water is just tap water bottled, labeled and sold.

Downsides

There are only a couple of downsides to buying the Brita Water Pitcher. One is that they do cost money to maintain. You need to make sure that you have replacement filters when the water starts to taste like chlorine. These cost more money than just drinking water from the tap without any filtration. However as stated previously it is cheaper than buying bottled water and in many cases more healthy.

The second downside is that if you keep it in your refrigerator as I like to it takes up space. The design of this pitcher is pretty good for reducing the footprint within the refrigerator but it still takes up additional space that is used for food. It is a minor inconvenience but something that I thought good to mention.

Brita Filter
The Brita Water Pitcher is a great alternative to bottled water.  It’s a cheaper alternative and in many cases healthier than bottled water.  It filters some of the contaminants from the tap water and makes it taste much, much better than drinking water straight from the tap.  If you are an online shopper like myself Amazon offers one of the easiest and cheapest places to get this item.  I hope you enjoyed this review.  Please feel free to leave any comments below.
